Echo is the fulfillment of Jami's dream to open a treatment space featuring top natural products and treatments, and work with other passionate skin-care experts to bring the best of green beauty to Portland.

Favorite Portland restaurant: I don't stray too far from the shop! I love Gallo Nero next door for the best Italian and the staff is like family, Prasad for lunch and the best snacks at World Foods and the new Tanner Creek Tavern is a big hit too!!

Favorite bands: In this job, we listen to a lot of music—I'm still trying to perfect the perfect massage/facial playlist. Please send me suggestions if you have any favorites.

Favorite self-care ritual: I strive for balance by taking a yoga class, getting a massage, acupuncture or mani/pedi, grabbing a glass of wine with girlfriends, hiking in forest park, or listening to podcasts—and as a Virgo, planning and organizing keep me happy.

3 must-have Echo products? Dr. Alkaitis Purifying Cleanser, May Lindstrom Jasmine Garden, and Alima Pure Satin Matte Foundation in Neutral 2.

Best beauty tip: You may be tired—who isn't?—but take the time for yourself every night to cleanse your skin before bed and get at least 8 hours of sleep. Make a 5-minute ritual of washing your face, toning, and moisturizing. Our bodies repair and rejuvenate at night, and it is important to go to bed with clean skin that's been given the nourishment it needs to look radiant.

Kimmer Goldblatt

Esthetician

Kimmer is an artist, ballet and jazz dancer, and entrepreneur—her professional jazz performances were once viewed weekly on television! The demands required of her as a professional dancer quickly made evident the harmony needed for having a healthy body on the inside as well as having beauty on the outside. Kimmer began sharing her expertise in health and wellness as a personal trainer receiving her license in both massage and  aesthetics. Kimmer went on the road with singer/songwriter James Taylor for 3 years, she practiced and perfected her massage and aesthetics skills on the road. After the traveling life, she provided in-home services for Jim Carrey, Renée Zellweger, Bono, and anyone who needed her services. Today, she continues to offer what she has learned to women and men who value and model the glow of health and vitality to everyone they meet.

Favorite Portland Restaurant: Sacred Money and Prosperity Pie in Multnomah Village!

What is the first thing you do in the morning: Tell the universe how grateful I am and then drink a big glass of water.

Favorite self-care ritual: A morning walk or jog with my husband, taking time every night to do a mix of stretches from my dancing days, and following up my stretching with a full body scrub in a steamy shower.

3 must-have Echo products: Vitamin B Cleansing Oil and Brand New Day by One Love Organics and Laurel's Restore Nightly Facial Balm.

How did you get started in the beauty industry? I learned the value of taking care of myself during my dancing days. After I retired from dancing I wanted to give back by helping others learn about skincare and self care rituals and help make people feel beautiful.

What are your goals for the next 5 years? To do lots of microneedling and traveling!

Best Beauty Tip: Press your tongue up on the roof of your mouth 3 times a day - this will help tighten the muscles under your chin!

Halley Stroth

Esthetician

How did you get started in the beauty industry? My interest in green beauty started in 2004 while working at a health food store in Minneapolis, MN. When I moved to Portland in 2006 I began co-managing a Health & Wellness Department at a local food co-op, and that’s when my passion for nutrition and green beauty products really took off. My background has a strong focus on whole food nutrition, herbalism, and cruelty-free, botanical based skin care products.

What is your best nutritions advice for skin? Find a source of organic bone broth and consume it regularly. Bone broth is a miracle worker when it comes to hair, skin and nail health. It is packed with skin plumping collagen that your body can easily absorb. In the morning I make a mug of warm broth that consists of bone broth, 1 tablespoon miso paste, and 1 teaspoon freshly grated ginger. You can also sip this broth in the evenings to aid in rest and relaxation. Bone broth has high levels of magnesium that help relax muscle tension for a better nights rest.

3 must-have Echo products:  May Lindstrom Honey Mud, Laurel Facial Elixir, Dr. Alkaitis Ageless Facial Elixir

Best beauty tip: Give your body the rest it needs. If you have trouble winding down at the end of the day, try taking Valerian Root either as a tea or in capsule form. It’s a great sleep-aid and it won’t make you groggy or drowsy in the morning.

Favorite self-care ritual: Taking a long walk with my pup through Forest Park and enjoying the beautiful nature this city has to offer. Or staying in and diffusing my favorite essential oils with a good book in hand after an extensive PM skin care routine.

Best beauty tip: Wear sunscreen every single day! Keep your skin hydrated & supple. Make sure you are getting a great exfoliation a few times a week. Adding highlight into your makeup routine will always make you look more radiant no mater how minimal your look is!

Favorite Portland restaurant: We have the best food here in Portland! If I had to choose I would have to say Tusk for brunch, so delicious.

3 must-have Echo products? Battington Lashes in the style Bardot & Harlow, Dr. Alkaitis Organic Nourishing Treatment Oil, and Arcona Cranberry Gommage.

How did you get started in the beauty industry?  My passion for the art of this industry began well before my career as an Esthetician. I was the girl growing up who always got everyone ready for all of our school events. I have had such a love for all things beauty for as long as I can remember! My passion really lead me to began freelancing for Makeup Artistry. Through my years of experience doing makeup working behind the scenes I wanted to truly bring my passion for this industry full circle and become an Esthetician focused on natural green products that benefit my clients skin. Helping my clients feel their most beautiful from their glowing skin to their makeup application, while educating and giving those needed tips and tricks makes it such a treat to come into Echo each day!
